writer. DIRECTOR. EXPLORER.
I'm a writer, director, and producer in commercials and feature films in Los Angeles. My award winning debut film The Purple Onion premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in 2014, is distributed by Cinemation, and is available on major VOD platforms (Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play) . I'm currently in development on my second feature film Glorious Empire, which is being packaged at ICM.
I studied film directing at the Polish National Film School in Poland, where my parents emigrated from. I received a BA in Humanities from Loyola Marymount University and an MFA in Writing for Film & TV from Emerson College. I'm drawn to stories about marginal characters, creatives, leaders, adventurers, rebels, misguided youth, the wise fool, as well as people with personality disorders. Psychology, fate, determinism, compassion, hedonism are a few topics that fascinate me.
I was born and raised in Northern California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. In another lifetime I worked at a furniture factory in China, as a seasonal waiter in Greece, as a host of a travel show in Poland, and as a door guy in San Francisco's top comedy clubs. As creative producer, I helped build a video content department in the esports company Immortals. I've mentored kids in jail, taught cinema and English, and at the age of 22 I authored and self published a novel called Cupertino about delinquent youth in, you guessed it, Cupertino.
